On Monday, January 29, FC Dynamo Kyiv played their second friendly at the training camp in Turkey. The White-Blues faced the most titled club of Poland – Legia Warsaw.
As you know, Olexandr Shovkovskyi’s men lost the previous game against FC Ballkani – 0:2. This time Kyivans used two different lineups again. Legia managed to score once in the first half and twice after the break while Ukrainians responded with one goal.
Early in the match the teams didn’t really create scoring chances. Sometimes Dynamo started sharp counterattacks, but gradually those turned into build-up efforts.
Legia have been playing friendlies for over two weeks already, so they’re in pretty good shape. They used their best lineup as on February 9 they’ll start the second part of the Polish league season.
No wonder that Legia tried to apply pressure, but our players were dealing with that quite well and responded with the same.
About half an hour into the game Polish side opened the score. Muci headed the ball in after cross from the right side – 0:1. Still Dynamo equalized quickly. Kabayev put a low cross from the left wing and Benito hit the open goal – 1:1. Shortly before the break Legia stepped in front again. Wszolek passed to Augustyniak who sent the ball into the net from the box line – 1:2.
Polish side started the second half quite aggressively. Kramer attempted from a tight angle and Morhun saved spectacularly. Still in a few minutes Josue found Kramer again and the latter scored – 1:3.
Dynamo responded with the shot by Voloshyn from close range, but defender blocked that.
Legia attacked more than Dynamo in the second part of the second half. In one episode one of their players missed a bit while in another Morhun did a great job. Anyway the score didn’t change anymore.
On January 30, Dynamo will play their next friendly – against the Uzbekistani side Pakhtakor.
