Dynamo midfielder Nazar Voloshyn shared his thoughts live on UPL TV after the 4:1 win over Polissya in the Ukrainian Premier League.
– You looked absolutely inspired today. Any particular reason?
– Not really. I guess it’s just that we finally came back home, that’s why (smiles).
– You had assists today and also scored a goal. When you scored, was it meant as a pass or a shot?
– No, I just poked it to score. I also saw that Guerrero could have gotten on the end of it. It just ended up going in.
– It seemed like Dynamo were creating chances quite easily today…
– I think we analyzed Polissya very thoroughly and could have scored even more.
– You won the penalty, scored, and even hit the crossbar…
– Yeah, as they say, I was on a roll. When you’re confident, with each moment you get better and better.
– Apart from the first game Dynamo have beaten UPL opponents by big margins this season. But in European competitions it hasn’t been the same. Is that down to the level of opposition or your team’s approach?
– Honestly I don’t know. We prepare for European matches the same way as for UPL games. It’s just that in the league it works out and in Europe not always.
– Maybe the national team call-up gave you an extra boost too?
– Definitely (smiles).
– What are your thoughts ahead of joining the national team?
– Only the best ones.
– But the start is against a very tough opponent – France. What can you say about them?
– What’s there to say? Everyone already knows. It’s a very strong team with a lot of stars. We’ll do everything possible to win.
