Dynamo President Ihor Surkis confirmed that Russian side Krylya Sovetov have expressed interest in Maksim Shatskikh. The clubs have entered negotiations and the future of Kyiv’s best top scorer of the past decade will soon be settled.
In the meantime, the 29-year-old striker has joined his national team to prepare for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. From 2 to 22 June Uzbeks will play four encounters, against Singapore (twice), Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
