Litex – Dynamo – 1:2. Match report

Dynamo Kyiv will take a one-goal advantage into next week’s second leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round with Bulgarian champions PFC Litex after goals from Miloš Ninković and Brown Ideye earned them a 1-2 victory at Lovech stadium on Thursday evening.

Yuriy Semin has made only two changes from the side that beat FC Arsenal Kyiv 2-0 in last weekend’s Premier League derby, with Andriy Shevchenko, who scored the opener that day, sidelined with a broken jaw and Denys Harmash only used as an injury-time substitute. Instead, the coach fielded Ninković and Vukojević.

Dynamo didn’t have to wait long for the opener of the match: Ninković handed his team the lead with a 7th-minute penalty kick after Artem Milevskyy was upended by Litex keeper in the box. The one-goal cushion lasted only five minutes, however, as Litex captain Hristo Yanev got the visitors back on level firing into the top right-hand corner of the net.

The winning goal arrived midway through the second half, when Roman Eremenko’s pass into the hosts' area found the unmarked Brown Ideye and the Nigerian forward made no mistake.
