Dynamo defender Ayila Yussuf scored a 91st-minute winner as Dynamo Kyiv sealed a dramatic late victory over FC Krymteplytsya (Molodizhne, Crimea), which takes them to the Ukrainian Cup Round of 16.
The game appeared to be heading for extra-time until the final seconds of the match when Nigerian full-back directed the pass from his defensive partner Betão into the hosts’ goal with just one touch. Even though the White-Blues had the majority of possession and scoring chances, it was without doubt a hard-fought victory for Valeriy Gazzaev’s side. Krymteplytsya players demonstrated real courage and fighting spirit throughout the game, but posed only occasional threat to our goalkeeper.
Therefore, Dynamo Kyiv continue their trip in the Ukrainian Cup tournament and look forward to discovering the name of their next opponents.
