On Monday, February 12, FC Dynamo Kyiv played another friendly at the training camp in Turkey. Olexandr Shovkovskyi’s men faced reigning champions of Latvia – FK RFS.
Although Dynamo took the field in experimental lineup they took the situation under control straight away. Diallo was flagged offside while Shaparenko attempted dangerously, but keeper parried.
Latvian side also started creating opportunities in a while. Lemajic rushed towards the goal, but Diachuk managed to reach the ball. Then, after powerful strike by Savalnieks, Diachuk cleared the ball basically from the goal line. Lipuscek missed with a header after corner.
Afterwards scoring chances became quite scarce. Shaparenko took a promising free lick won by Tsarenko, but hit the wall.
In the second half the game didn’t change a lot. Benito missed from distance. Considering the flow of the match one could only expect someone would make a mistake and Riga side did. In the 69th minute their keeper fouled against Benito inside the box and Shaparenko scored from the spot – 1:0.
Then Dynamo refreshed their lineup significantly while RFS had some decent opportunities. Golijanin sent the ball over the bar after cross from the left side. Kouadio appeared practically one-on-one with Bushchan, but didn’t cope with our goalkeeper.
So, it’s 1:0 for Olexandr Shovkovskyi’s men. Tomorrow they’ll oppose Dinamo Tbilisi.
