- You joined Dynamo in 2008 as Yuri Semin became the head coach and won the domestic title at once. Why didn’t you manage to do it again as he took charge of the team for the second tome?
- It’s all about mentality. For example FC Shakhtar Donetsk aim for becoming one of the best teams in Europe while it turns out that Dynamo only goal is to win the Ukrainian Premier League. The White-Blues should change their set of mind.
- Why didn’t Gazzaev manage to do that?
- He is a good coach, but as he took charge of the team I knew nothing about him. Anyway everything was fine when we were first in the UPL standings. At some point some of Gazzaev’s personal traits of character came to the fore. When I just came to Kyiv the only question was by how many goals we would defeat this or that opponent. Today Kyivans can draw against Illichivets, Tavria etc. How is that possible?!!
- You always played with dedication. Why do some foreign performers do their best as they join Dynamo, but after some period of time they just tomfool?
- Dynamo used to be able to defeat such clubs as Arsenal London, Porto etc, but today matches against such teams end with defeats. When I played for the White-Blues victory was our only aim, but today that’s okay for players if they lose.
- Do you mean that today Dynamo lack will to win?
- I can’t understand how can one be unwilling to win?! Every player who comes to Dynamo must realize what kind of team this is. It has great history and traditions. You can’t just come here and relax.
