Dynamo forward Artem Milevskyy sums up the previous season and tells about future plans and prospects.
- Artem, what impressions do you have of the previous football season?
- We couldn’t manage to win domestic trophies in the last season (Super Cup and the First Channel Cup are not counted). We may say that the 2007/2008 season was a complete failure. We had a chance to improve the situation but we were lacking in strength and luck. Nevertheless we shouldn’t give up and have to believe in ourselves. There is no time for despair.
- Dynamo has changed four head coaches during last season. Did it affect the team?
- It’s not so important for me personally who is the head coach of the team. I always try to carry out the coach’s orders.
- Do you think it’s right to let young footballers play with the first team?
- When I was 18-19 years old, I had no opportunity to spend so much playing time on the pitch. At present such players as Kravets, Morozyuk, Dopilka have much more possibilities to demonstrate their qualities and skills playing with the main team. To my mind our head coach is on the right way. His strategy is absolutely correct. I’m happy for guys.
- What do you expect from the next season?
- I expect to win champions’ trophies. We have to return the Ukranian Cup to Kyiv. Besides we’d like to have a successful performance in the UEFA Champions League. At least we have to reach the group stage as we are to face high-qualified European teams in the qualifying round.
