Volodymyr is FC Chornomorets Odesa football school trainee.
In 2010 he joined FC Dynamo Kyiv.
He featured for Chornomorets and Dynamo in the Ukrainian Youth League.
First coach – Serhiy Husiev, Dynamo first coach – Pavlo Kikot.
Shepelev made his debut in Ukrainian U-19 League on August 13 2014 – in Dynamo away game against FC Karpaty Lviv youngsters (2:1).
He played his first U-21 League match on February 28 2015 as Dynamo hosted FC Metalist Kharkiv youth team (2:1).
Volodymyr used to perform for Ukraine U-16 and U-17.
