Our midfielder Volodymyr Shepelev has told journalist of the White-Blues’ official site how he’s spending his free time. He’s also shared some news concerning his recovery from injury due to which he has to miss Euro-2020. In early May, Volodymyr suffered marginal fractures of two neural spines.
- Mostly I spend time at home – in Kyiv and in Odesa region at my parents’. Only recently I came to Turkey for a few days.
- How’s your recovery going? Will you be able to work at the training camp?
- Doctor says I’ll join the team at the first training camp. We’ll see how I feel. In late June we’ll have medical examination. Then I’ll find out.
- What’re you mostly doing in Turkey? Do you prefer activities or calm rest?
- Activities, I guess. I work out at the gym, but don’t exercise my back. Sometimes I lie in the sun at the beach.
- When will you be able to work without any restrictions?
- We’ll decide when I come back to Kyiv and have examination at the training complex. Generally specialists say it takes a month to recover from such injury. I still feel certain discomfort, but I guess it will be gone by the end of the vacation.
- Are you upset you won’t take part in Euro-2020?
- Sure. I really wanted to perform for the national team. Anyway, now I need to recondition properly. I’ll be watching Euro on TV and supporting our guys.
