Dynamo head coach Yuriy Semin talked with sports journalists at the traditional press-conference on the eve of Dynamo’s first leg match of the UEFA Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain FC.
- Dynamo Kyiv are currently fifteen points clear of their arch-rivals FC Shakhtar Donetsk at the top of the domestic league table. Does this mean that the team can fully concentrate on the UEFA Cup campaign?
- The Ukrainian championship race is not over yet. We still need 11 points to become winners. That is why this is no time to relax. I think we should put our best efforts towards both campaigns – domestic league and UEFA Cup. Besides, we should not forget about Ukrainian Cup. We have many matches in April and we hope to still have important matches to play in May.
- Do you expect any surprises in the match against French team?
- That’s a difficult question to answer. The playing scheme is one thing, and improvisation is quite another. Paris Saint-Germain have several players, who are good at improvising. At this point it's hard to predict how the match will go.
- What are your impressions of France and Paris?
- It’s nice that the real spring has finally arrived! Everything is in bloom and blossom. The city is very nice. The stadium and the pitch are perfect. I’m sure that lots of supporters will come, so the atmosphere will definitely be great.
