Valencia CF bowed out of the Copa del Rey after losing 2-1 to FC Sevilla in Wednesday’s quarter-final second leg.
A draw would have been enough for Unai Emery's men. Moreover, they were the first who opened the score and were close to enlarge their advantage. But a late goal from defender Sebastien Squillaci ended Valencia’s hopes to continue the Spanish Cup campaign. Squillaci grabbed the winner in the dying seconds of the match after heading the corner past goalkeeper César into the net.
