UPL. Rukh – Dynamo – 0:2: press conference of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi

FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi answered media questions after the away UPL win against FC Rukh Lviv (2:0):

- Dynamo drew against Rukh in the first round while today you won. Does it mean you’ve gained revenge in a way?

- We took the field not to gain revenge, but to play. Every game is important. This one was quite difficult as a number of our players had performed for the national teams. We had only 10 outfield players left, so U19 guys were training with us. The whole team gathered only on March 27.

I’d like to thank players for doing their best on the field and sticking to our game plan.

- Vitalii Buialskyi made his 350th appearance for Dynamo. Do you think it’s a lot, considering that you made 637?

- Is it a lot? You can play for quantity or you can play for quality. I never counted my appearances. What always mattered to me is the following game. Experience can be beneficial, but to succeed to need to win against yourself every day. I’m happy for Vitalii and I hope he’ll benefit the team.

- Now you’re going to face Rukh in the Ukrainian Cup. What are your expectations of the game and how is it going to differ from this one?

- Every game is like a cup tie to us. Avery upcoming game is the most important one. That’s how we’re going to approach it. Optimal shape, optimal lineup and focus on victory.

- How is Volodymyr Brazhko doing after the failed EPL transfer and his absence in the national team squad? Is he ready to play?

- He is, but you need to understand that on March 25 her performed for Ukraine U21, then came back to Ukraine, so it was tough for him to play on the 29th. Brazhko is getting ready for every game.
