Unusual competition gathered three generations of players, who worked under the charge of the famous coach. The fourth team was formed of sports journalists.
Olexandr Shpakov is famous due to his work at FC Dynamo Kyiv Academy. He’s raised such performers as Andriy Shevchenko, Ihor Zhabchenko, Olexandr Moroz, Viktor Moroz, Pavlo Kykot, Ihor Kostiuk and Viacheslav Kernozenko. The majority of them came to the tournament. It was expected that Andriy Shevchenko also would arrive, but he didn’t manage as he featured for the Rest of the World XI in a charitable match.
Olexandr Shpakov’s class of 1976 won the tournament and got the cup. Other participants (classes of 1968 and 1985 and journalists) were also awarded.
