FC Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret has told about another training day in Turkey and shared his expectations of the friendly against Legia.
- Let’s say, it was a shooting day, so we had quite a lot of work.
- Do you, keepers, tell each other how many goals you concede?
- Sometimes those who lose have to do a small task, like to bring tea at the restaurant, so there’s a kind of healthy competition.
- How were the first days of the training camp? The exercise load was significant…
- We feel some fatigue as this is the training camp. It was a week of proper work. You need to recondition well after such sessions.
- Goalkeepers don’t do as much running as outfield players. Do you mostly focus on specific work with Mykhailo Mykhailov?
- Goalkeepers and outfield players need to do different kinds of work. Sometimes they tell us we don’t run, but we have really hard work although it may seem simple.
- What did you focus on in these first days?
- We were getting adjusted to work mode in Kyiv. Now we still have exercise load, but it’s decreasing a bit.
- You’ve played the first friendly. What do you think of it?
- In terms of the final score, we’re unhappy with it. But today we analyzed the game. Olexandr Shovkovskyi emphasized both our mistakes and positive aspects. Actually we don’t need to care about the final score at the training camp too much.
- Tomorrow you have a very interesting opponent – Legia. What do you expect of the game?
- At the training camp we get ready for every friendly in a similar way. Legia are really good team, so we need to play a decent game.
- Olexandr Shovkovskyi is a legend of Dynamo and Ukrainian football. Does he give you any recommendations, considering that he was a goalkeeper?
- Sometimes he does, but not all the time. We have goalkeeper coach Mykhailo Mykhailov.
