It’s time to summarize the polling for “Dynamo hero 2015”.
The winner by great margin is goalkeeper Olexandr SHOVKOVSKYI, who’s got 64,7% of votes!
Austrian centre back Aleksandar Dragovic is second with 25,4%.
Brazilian right back Danilo Silva is third – 9,9%.
Now let’s recall what helped Olexandr Shovkovskyi win in this nomination.
On May 4 our legendary goalkeeper performed real football feat. In the Ukrainian Cup final against FC Shakhtar Donetsk his great skills saved the White-Blues in penalty shootout! After the score became 2:3 every well-placed shot could become decisive for Mircea Lucescu’s men, but our captain didn’t let that happen! Eventually our team won!
Dynamo captain has won his 13th domestic league gold which is a record for our club! In May of 2015 our legendary keeper played his 400th match in the UPL and on June 4 he made his 600th appearance for our team. In the national cup final against Shakhtar he saved the White-Blues as a true hero. Shovkovskyi is the only goalkeeper to take part in all 15 Champions League campaigns.
Congratulations to Olexandr! We hope he’ll play more incredible matches for Dynamo which he’s going to do in 2016:
After each season I talk to goalkeeper coach, head coach and then – to president of the club. My contract will be valid till summer. They say Shovkovskyi is a grave-digger for other Dynamo goalkeepers. I try to help all my teammates. I prove I’m worth the starting spot fairly.
