- It was a good dynamic game. We’re very thankful to our supporters. I’ve told them this season they were better than us. Next season we’ll try to reach their level. We believe in our team.
As for the game, of course Shakhtar are champions, but they should also behave like champions. Provocations, diving and pressure on referee don’t look decently. They should wake up and smell the coffee. One should be human both on the field and outside it.
- This season you’ve defeated Shakhtar three times in the UPL and played in a draw once. Still you haven’t won the title. What’s the main reason for this failure?
- We all make mistakes. I’m responsible for results we demonstrate. This season we’ve failed to win the league, but there’re some positive aspects. First of all we’ve got constant lineup. Comparing with July of the previous year we actually have new team. We have new goalkeeper and three new centre backs.
Besedin started this season as the fourth forward and now he’s the first team regular. The transfer of Yarmolenko has also influenced us. On the other hand, Tsyhankov looked great in the second part of the season.
We have good foundation for team formation. It’s very important to add new high profile performers. Thus, we must act as effectively as possible on transfer market this summer.
- Do you already see the core of your team?
- We have a core, but we must enforce it. So far this core includes 12-13 players, but we need 17-18 or even 20. Every coach wants to have two worthy performers for every position.
- What are Dynamo plans for the summer break?
- Players are already on vacation except for internationals. The vacation ends on June 19. Internationals will have a bit more time for rest. Pivaric and Kedziora are on advanced lists of their teams for the World Cup. We hope they’ll perform at the contest.
From June 19 till June 30 we’ll be working in Kyiv and then we’ll have a training camp in Austria. On July 21 we’ll return and start preparations for Ukrainian Super Cup.
- Have Moraes and Mbokani finished their performances for Dynamo?
- Their contracts expire. Moraes and Mbokani knew that in case they’re interested to keep featuring for Dynamo we would be glad to sign new agreements with them. They satisfied us as forwards. But I guess both of them will try to deal with their issues on their own. Contracts with Moraes and Mbokani will not be prolonged.
- What about Khacheridi?
- His contract also expires and we won’t sign the new one.
- What will Dynamo transfer vector be like this summer?
- We work in all directions. We’ve already defined positions we should enforce and formed the list of candidates. As for the geographic vector, it doesn’t matter.
