FC Dynamo Kyiv player Oleksandr Karavayev has shared his impressions of the start of the training camp in Turkey:
- How’re you feeling after first sessions? Seems like you’re in a good mood?
- Sure, everything’s great. It’s been two days already. It was tough as we were on vacation. Besides we did tests this morning. I know it’s absolutely necessary, so we must accept that as this is going to be our foundation for the second part of the season.
- Do you notice any difference from the previous training camps you had with Dynamo? This time the training camp will last a month and a half.
- The major difference is that we gathered early this time. We still have two games to play in the Europa League which is quite unusual. As for the exercise load, there’s nothing special about it.
- You played a mini-tournament and your team won twice, so you’re in a good mood. How’s the general atmosphere in the team?
- Such competitions give the training process extra emotions. Basically everyone has a working mood. We all know there’s time when you need to work hard and take yourself to the next level.
- The training camp will last a month and a half. How does your family endure such long separations? How do you communicate, what do you do to feel closer?
- It’s always tough when you’re far from home. Especially as war continues in our country and our cities are being shelled. Of course we’re really worried every day.
We videochat a few times a day. It’s more or less soothing when I see my loved ones are okay.
- So far you have two sessions a day. Do you have time for anything else? What do you do at the hotel?
- We do the recovery procedures. We also sleep between the sessions to have the best possible rest. It’s very important.
