Mikkel was born in the Danish city of Aarhus and started his football career in the local club. In 2014 he joined FC Midtjylland and eventually reached the first team. He won the Danish league with Midtjylland twice. Mikkel performs for Denmark national youth team. He can feature in any midfield and attacking position.
