- What will be your tactics considering Dynamo significant lineup issues?
- Our tactics is to play football. There’s nothing else I can say. We have few players left.
- You used to face Barcelona a lot throughout your career, but what do you know about the new team of Ronald Koeman?
- Koeman had a complicated task as he had to change a lot. Barcelona have very talented players, but they need to work on the team mechanism which takes time. Anyway they prove they can play outstanding football on European arena. It’s easier to perform in the Champions League than in the La Liga, where they oppose such teams as Real Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla.
- You’ve mentioned that it will be hard to play tomorrow due to current circumstances. Would you like to play this game later?
- As a coach I really would, but we have to play tomorrow and we will.
- You have incredible coaching experience. Do you think current Barcelona can win the Champions League?
- Frankly speaking, I don’t think so. They’re doing great job raising youngster, but they need time. Bayern Munich, PSG, Manchester City are on higher professional level so far. But things happen. Barcelona will play 12-13 games by the winter break and in spring they’ll be a different team.
- Does Koeman have a young player you consider to be extremely talented?
- Dembele, Fati, although the former isn’t that young. They all are very skillful and fast. But, as I’ve said, they need time to learn to use these qualities.
- Messi used to cause you troubles…
- I remember Shakhtar match against him. There was a penalty and goal that was supposed to be cancelled due to offside.
- They criticize him a lot these days for not scoring. How long, in your opinion, can Messi feature on top level?
- Messi does incredible things. He cares only about the team. He fights in every part of the field. He wants to help young players, who need to succeed. Messi sacrifices himself.
