FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Shakhtar Donets in the 2024/2025 Ukrainian Cup final.
Kyivans created the first potential danger of the game as Vanat crossed to Kabayev, but defender cleared.
The next chance was after cross from a free kick, but Riznyk coped with the shot by Buialskyi.
Dynamo stepped in front late in the first half. Shaparenko passed to Dubinchak, Vladyslav put a low cross and Yarmolenko hit the corner one-touch – 0:1.
The game didn’t change a lot after the break. Shakhtar got more active and eventually succeeded. Alisson put a cross from the right wing and Elias finished in the far post – 1:1.
The match was intense, but both sides were quite careful to avoid crucial mistakes, so it all continued in extra time.
Voloshyn tried to score, but his strike was way inaccurate. Dynamo attempted to build their attacks, but Shakhtar coped with that.
So it was all settled on penalties where Shakhtar succeeded 6:5 and won their 15th Ukrainian Cup.
