Dynamo Carlos Corrêa picked up an injury in this weekend’s 2-2 draw against Metalist, in the season’s last league game. The midfielder was substituted by youngster Denys Oleynyk at the end of the first half. Oleynyk, having featured for the first time under Yuriy Semin, leveled the score in the closing minutes of the thriller.
Upon Corrêa’s return to Kyiv, the medical scan revealed the 27-year-old suffered a fracture of the shin bone and will have to wear a splint for three weeks.
On Monday, the Brazilian left Ukraine for his home country. Hopefully, by the time the team returns from vacation June 10, he will have had the splint removed and will be able to join his teammates before the new season gets underway.
