- Betao’s wife is pregnant and he wants to be closer to his family which lives in Brazil. He wanted to look for a new club on his own and I promised to let him go for free. But salary he was offered in Brazil didn’t match his expectations.
I think that Betao is a footballer of high level. He was a kind of father for other Brazilians in Dynamo and created good relations between players of different nationalities. We got an offer from Evian Thonon GaIllard FC as for Betao. France is closer to Brazil than Ukraine.
We are not saying goodbye to Betao for good and all. Doors of Dynamo are always open for him. Maybe later we’ll have our own representative in Brazil. I wish there were more such legionnaires like Betao who came to Kyiv and became a part of our club.
- Does our team need another center back now?
- We have already signed contracts with three defenders this winter. At first Betao played at the right flank, then in the center and sometimes on the left flank. Today we have Taywo and Selyn on the left flank of defense, Danylo Sylva and Lyulka on the right, Khacherydy, Mykhalyk and Vida in the center. There are also several younger players. I think that we have enough defenders but maybe we’ll have another one.
