- It’s good we’ve won after intense emotional game against Stade Rennais FC. I know it’s hard to recondition after such matches. Mariupol had a week to get ready for the game against Dynamo. We’re like red flag for them or even more.
I always supported Khatskevych, both after victories and after defeats. He knows that. We had such players as Mbokani and Moraes and we didn’t manage to form the team. Now he’s building it with a help of young guys. It takes longer than one day. I see that players believe in him and that’s vital. Some people want me to fire Khatskevych as if it’s possible that some wizard will come and change everything. Khatskevych will keep working.
We’ll do our best to sign a new striker. Maybe even more than one. We need a forward who’ll take the field and score. We have Besedin, but he doesn’t score a lot although he works for the team. Anyway, now he’s injured and we have only youngsters, who need time for adaptation. I believe in Supriaha and Rusyn, but we need a finisher.
Verbic is doing well featuring as forward, but that’s not his position. We demonstrated worthy football in Kharkiv, but lost. We did worse in Kyiv, but won. Anything can happen in football. If we don’t win the league this season at least we’ll lay foundation for the next one. Unfortunately we’ve lost points where we had to win.
As for new contracts for Mykolenko, Shaparenko and Shepelev, we planned to do this earlier, but just needed appropriate moment. I think these players are Dynamo future. I just want them to focus on football.
