Hryhoriy Surkis has shared his opinion of security issues in Mariupol:
- Football is a tool able to unite people. This game has proved that. Considering tragic events in our country it’s impossible to play football in some big cities, such as Luhansk and Donetsk. I really hope that football will return to Donbas Arena and the stadium in Luhansk. I want football anthem to sound in every small town and city of Ukraine.
What’s also important is that football must be beyond politics. It must unite people and make them happy.
Security is a vital issue. In light of recent events it’s very important that this match took place here and a lot of people came to the stadium. I believe that means everything will be fine in Ukraine sooner or later. That’s possible due to warriors, who defend our borders.
As for the match, of course I support Dynamo, but Mariupol are a good team.
