UEFA Referee Committee has appointed German referee Knut Kircher to take charge of the Europa League Group E Matchday 6 game between Dynamo Kyiv and Sheriff Tiraspol at the Lobanovskyy Dynamo stadium on Wednesday evening.
A mechanical engineer from West Germany, Kircher was awarded his FIFA badge in 2004. He has never officiated matches involving Dynamo Kyiv, but he was in charge of Metalist's 2-0 win over Sampdoria FC in the Europa League in 2009.
In Kyiv, he will be assisted by countrymen Volker Wezel and Christoph Bornhorst with Babak Rafati acting as the fourth official. The additional assistant referees Tobias Welz and Christian Dingert will patrol the goal lines.
