FC Dynamo Kyiv players Artem Milevskyy, Oleh Husyev and Oleksandr Aliyev along with assistant coach Serhiy Rebrov took time out of their pre-match preparations to visit the Kyiv Municipal Pediatrics Hospital on Wednesday and cheer up its young patients who are battling cancer. Their arrival certainly brought obvious excitement and delight among children. The players accompanied with a staff toured the wards, handing out presents and souvenirs, signing autographs, posing for photographs, and chatting to the children and their families.
- I found out many useful facts concerning cancer today, – said Dynamo forward Artem Milevskyy. – This information is not pleasant but it’s a life. Unfortunately, it makes you realise that no one can feel secured against it. These children are real heroes.
I think it is a special occasion, not just for them and their parents but also for us. Many of these kids are football fans and it really means a lot to them to see their idols in person. We are truly happy we can give them a lift.
