Dynamo Kyiv resumed their 2009/2010 Ukrainian championship campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against FC Kryvbas at the Lobanovskyy Dynamo stadium on Saturday. Upwards of ten thousand supporters filled the stadium to cheer for their favourite club against bottom-side from Kryvyi Rih. However, the match proved to be quite nervous.
Ognjen Vukojević scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half after Andriy Shevchenko's free kick deflected off the defensive wall and fell into the pass of the Croatian midfielder. And, although Kryvbas had chances to equalise in the final minutes, Valeriy Gazzaev's men held the lead till the end.
