Dynamo Kyiv came back from a goal down to secure a 1-2 victory away against FC Chornomorets Odesa on Sunday. Serhiy Politylo handed the hosts the lead before a penalty kick from Oleksandr Aliyev and a goal from Andriy Yarmolenko guaranteed the three points for Yuriy Semin's side.
The White-Blues came into this game on the back of very difficult game against UEFA Europa League group stage opponents Stoke City FC, and despite the players’ fatigue, Yuriy Semin made only three changes to the squad. Oleksandr Aliyev stepped into central midfield, Brown Ideye replaced Andriy Shevchenko in attack and Yevhen Khacheridi combined in central defenсe with Betão.
Both sides made a bright start to the game with chances coming at either end. On 17 minutes Chornomorets defender Andriy Donets gave the home side the lead, sending in Politylo's free kick. The Kyivers upped the tempo in response and were increasingly dangerous when attacking down the flanks. Their equalizer, however, came from a penalty five minutes from the interval. Following a foul on Artem Milevskyy, the referee pointed to the spot. Oleksandr Aliyev stepped up to take the shot and did not miss the opportunity to restore parity. Just two minutes later, a superb quick-passing attack involving Ideye, Ninkovic and Milevskyy ended with Artem back-heeling the ball into the path of Andriy Yarmolenko, whose strong shot into the bottom of the net gave Dynamo all three points.
