- Ukraine fans are happy, but have gray hair after this game…
- (laughing) So do we. The game was intense. The main strength of this team is set pieces. We fouled a lot and conceded early in the game after which everyone was nervous.
- Did you feel you had to change something after the first half?
- Before the game we were going to be calm, but the first half was a failure for us… Slovenia centre backs are strong, so they won the scrimmage. We were supposed to use short passes and control the ball.
- Did you know Artem Kravets would pass to you in the last episode of the game?
- That goal is Artem’s desert. Actually I even didn’t think about the goal in that episode. I just thought those were last seconds of the game and Slovenia wouldn’t have time to attack any more. Still what they did can’t be called attacks. They just kicked the ball forward from every position.
- There could even be a fight late in the game…
- Well, qualification for European championship was at stake. They fought for their country and we – for our country.
