- Ten years ago you worked as FC Aktobe head coach. How did you find yourself in Kazakhstan?
- Aktobe representatives called me and offered a job. It was a good option for me at that moment, so I took the offer.
- What did you manage to achieve with Aktobe?
- First of all I decided to enforce the team with new players to be able to fulfill particular tasks. Eventually we signed Bezhenar, Kryventsov and Mytrofanov. Thus we played rather well in Kazakhstan Premier League. We finished that season in the 5th place.
- What can you tell about local climate?
- There’s not enough ozone (laughing). Kazakhstan is a very interesting country.
- What are the peculiarities of work in Kazakhstan?
- Everything depends upon the level of foreign players. The majority of teams are municipal. They try to develop infrastructure.
- Why did you leave Aktobe?
- My wife got hurt as our apartment was robbed, so I had to return to Ukraine.
- Do you still communicate with people who work for Aktobe?
- I used to communicate with my ex-assistant coach Ravil Ramazanov and his wife.
- What are you expectations of the game between FC Aktobe and FC Dynamo Kyiv?
- I suppose Aktobe will play defensive football. Their only creative player is Serhiy Davydov. Anyway Aktobe are good orderly team.
- What is your prediction for the game?
- I believe that Dynamo will win!
