FC Dynamo Kyiv faced Chelsea FC at StamfordBridge in London within the Champions league group stage matchday 4.

Dynamo had only one change in the starting lineup comparing with the first match against Chelsea that took place two weeks ago at the NSC Olimpiyskyi. Vitorino Antunes replaced Danilo Silva.

In the first half the Pensioners attacked mostly through the left flank. Jose Mourinho used 4-2-3-1 while Serhiy Rebrov – 4-1-4-1.

Chelsea attacked more early in the game. Dynamo best chance was a promising free kick, but Serhiy Rybalka hit the defensive wall. Eventually Chelsea opened the score though the goal was escapable.

34 minutes into the game Willian put a cross into the box where Aleksandar Dragovic tried to clear the ball, but scored own goal…

After the break Denys Harmash substituted Serhiy Sydorchuk and StamfordBridge saw totally different Dynamo – more aggressive and creative. Artem Kravets had a good chance early in the second half, but lost the ball in one-on-one situation. Soon he was replaced by Moraes. Junior also had a chance, but Begovic parried his shot. Shovkovskyi also had a lot of work.

Yarmolenko was a problem for Chelsea defense and 78 minutes into the game he got an assist to his name while the attack was finished by… Dragovic. After Yarmolenko put a cross from the corner flag Aleks obtained the ball and netted it from inside the box.

After that Jose Mourinho also made substitutions. Pedro and Hazard took the field. Soon home side scored again. Willian took a free kick and hit the upper V.

So, Dynamo played worthily but lost. After four matchdays Kyivans are third in the Champions League group table.
