In his interview with the 2007-2008 Ukrainian Cup DATAGROUP match day program, Yuriy Semin admitted there is only one goal for his team in Kharkiv, that is of winning the title. “If you takle up a club with Dynamo-size ambitions, you set only maximum objectives, winning Ukrainian Cup amongst them”.
“One fixture, whatever crucial, is not sufficient to provide an assessment of anybody’s job. To be objective, one should take into account daily training process, warm-up and official games, the way players attain their level. It takes time to rate the work of any coach. One single game, to recap, is no litmus test. Yet, I do dream we clinch the trophy”.
“The final game should be a football festival, which is impossible without packed stands and driven supporters. It is hard to foretell who the neutral fans will have preference for. There is just one thing I know for sure: our supporters will be there for us. It is for them, as well as for those TV-glued, that we will be playing”, the head coach added.
