On the eve of the team’s departure to Spain for the second winter training, Dynamo manager Dynamo manager Yuriy Semin and Managing Director Rezo Chokhonelidze talked to media folks.
Israel starting point
After the team returned from their vacation Jan 8, their key task was to gain back their conditions after a one-month break. “Then, in Israel I had a good opportunity to study players in action as we had four matches: a friendly vs. Bulgarian Levski and three Channel One Cup encounters. I think my lads did a good job. And when you work hard, the result is bound to come. All this instills confidence, both among players and coaching staff”, summed up Yuriy Semin the team’s first mid-season training.
Channel One Cup: impressions and expectations
“The tournament of this kind is a good and necessary thing clubs, especially those participating in European Cups in the spring. It is a well organized and thrilling event. I say this not because we have brought the trophy to Kyiv”, the Dynamo manager said. Would he introduce any changes? “There are a couple of things I would suggest to change. Firstly, there could be three Ukrainian and three Russian teams in the competition. Also, the calendar should be the same for all the participants”.
30-man squad for Spain
The head coach unveiled his 30-man squad for his training camp in Spain: Goalkeepers – Shovkovskyy, Lutsenko, Rybka, Godzyur; defenders Diakhaté, Nesmachny, Dopilka, Vashchuk, Mandzyuk, Fedoriv, Khacheridi, El Kaddouri, midfielders Ghioane, Corrêa, Yussuf, Michael, Rebrov, Husyev, Mykhalyk, Aliyev, Dedechko, Ninković, Belghaousani, Farkas, strikers Shatskikh, Milevskyy, Kravets, Oleynyk, Hlavina, Bangoura.
Bangoura is to join the squad in Spain as he will return from the African Nations Cup. Marković and Romanchuk, who are healing their injuries, stay in Kyiv to train individually.
Loan deals
Goran Gavrančić, who has recently moved to PAOK on loan, may be joined by Kléber and Diogo Rincón in the club’s transfer list. “The three footballers had been sidelined by injuries for over two months, so their conditions are far from optimum. We have decided to let then go, as it makes no sense to keep them in the reserves team. Whilst Goran is now in Greece, the Brazilian will return to their home country. Favorable climate and staying at home should facilitate their recovery”, said Yuriy Semin.
“We are going to keep a close eye on them. If things go well for them, they will return to Dynamo”, added Rezo Chokhonelidze.
