Yarmolenko – Stepanenko: time to bury the hatchet

Recent UPL matchday 24 game between FC Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Dynamo Kyiv proves that. Still this match has already become history and we hope flame of hatred also has. It’s time to bury the hatchet.

The first one to start reconciliation was Dynamo president Ihor Surkis. After the game at the Arena Lviv he stated: “I don’t want to justify anyone, but I think when emotions are gone players will make up the quarrel. There must be no conflicts at Ukraine national team camp during Euro-2016”.

Andriy Yarmolenko and Taras Stepanenko have spent 1669 minutes on the field since 2010 featuring for Ukraine alongside each other. Together they won 13 games, lost four and played in a draw eight times.

These football warriors, who fight for our national team, should listen to the Football Federation of Ukraine president Andriy Pavelko: “Each player, no matter what club he performs for, will do his best for Ukraine, for its citizens! Our national team consists of best performers of our country. They’re our pride and hope. The match Shakhtar vs Dynamo has become history. Now we must all get ready for Euro-2016!”
