FC Dynamo Kyiv played the fourth Match For Peace friendly at the training camp in Switzerland in Fribourg – against BSC Young Boys our team opposed in the Champions League qualification a few season ago.
This time Mircea Lucescu had complete squad including internationals and foreign players. The starting lineup changed almost totally comparing with the match against Sion. The only exception was Vitaliy Buialskyi.
The game started in a calm manner. Neither side rushed forward. Mostly they tried to create chances due to set pieces.
Things got more active halfway through the first half as teams exchanged promising opportunities. Still final shots were blocked by defenders. Anyway, Swiss side attacked more dangerously and took ten corners in the first half.
About half an hour into the match Heorhiy Bushchan saved his team after Kanga attempted from close range.
The White-Blues responded with a chance as Karavayev appeared in a promising position, but Olexandr sent the ball over the bar.
Following minutes were tough for Kyivans, who mostly defended. Still they could open the score before the break. Young Boys keeper von Ballmoos had to foul against Shaparenko after his teammate’s mistake.
Vladyslav Vanat, who took the field in the second half, created a chance for himself almost right away. He intercepted the ball, left three defenders behind and appeared one-on-one with goalkeeper, but didn’t manage to score.
Tsyhankov and Andriyevskyi attempted from distance, but the ball went wide in both episodes.
Young Boys had another chance in the 70th minute, but Neshchered saved Dynamo after strike by Vincent Sierro.
Vanat got another opportunity after cross by Tymchyk, but didn’t cope with goalkeeper. Besides, the White-Blues’ right back was flagged offside.
So, it’s 0:0. Dynamo will play the next friendly against FC Luzern – on Saturday.
