Volodymyr KLYCHKO: “I’m happy for Serhiy Rebrov and Dynamo!”

- Volodymyr, what’s the brightest football memory of your childhood?
- That’s farewell match of Oleh Blokhin. On June 20 1989 there was full house at the Republican Stadium. More that 100 thousand fans came there! USSR national team opposed Rest of the World XI. In the first half Oleh Blokhin performed for home side and in the second – for visitors. Mostly FC Dynamo Kyiv players featured for USSR.

Blokhin converted from the spot 90 minutes into the game, but right after that Baltacha netted equalizer and the match ended in a draw – 3:3. When Blokhin was leaving the field a lot of people cried. It was a significant event for me – 13-year-old kid.

- Do you always hold at bay at football matches?

- Sometimes I don’t. From the point of view of fan sometimes I understand supporters, who speak badly of referees or opponents. Sport means emotions.

- What can you say about Dynamo play under the charge of Serhiy Rebrov?

- I’m happy for Serhiy Rebrov, who’s a friend of mine. He’s doing well so far. I’m glad the domestic title and national cup have returned to Kyiv.
