FC Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko answered media questions before the Champions League qualification play-off round second leg against RB Salzburg:
- First of all, I would like to thank our defenders and air defense forces, who are protecting Ukraine, because tonight and in the morning there was a massive shelling of our country, many cities and villages were left without electricity. We must not forget that the terrorist country continues to launch its missiles and drones to kill our people, children and women. Now the whole team’s thoughts are with Ukraine.
- How did these events impact you personally and your teammates?
- When we’re abroad everyone follows the news in Ukraine as guys have families, children, parents, so we’re very worried. My grandma and grandpa are in Zaporizhzhia. I don’t feel okay when things like that happen.
- After the first leg experts were saying the outcome could be different. Do you feel you can outplay this opponent?
- We didn’t score in key episodes while they used their chances. But we had decent opportunities and I hope we’ll have those tomorrow. We need to use them to win.
