FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Vladyslav Kabayev has shared his impressions of the game against FC Shakhtar Donetsk (1:1):
- We missed such games. I wish we had more of those. A lot of people came to the stadium. My impressions are mixed as we always want to win, especially against Shakhtar.
In the episode when we conceded I should have done better. But I want to thank the team who didn’t give up and fought till the end. We’ve demonstrated our character. I guess fans enjoyed the game. As I’ve said, I wish we had more matches like this. For instance, when we played against Roma, the speed was significantly higher than what we usually have. The same goes to the game against Shakhtar.
- The game was quite emotional and spectacular. What did you feel early in the game when the ball hit the crossbar and then was cleared from the line?
- Of course every game against Shakhtar is intense. When our gaffer Oleksandr Shovkovskyi was a player there were a lot of red cards and fights in those games.
Today we had a red as well, fouls, a lot of spectacular episodes. No one wanted to lose. I want to thank the guys once again. We haven’t lost anything, we’re still top of the table. But, as for our football, we have things to improve.
- Considering the starting lineup for the game against Roma, your priority was the match against Shakhtar. Was that a good decision?
- You’d better ask the head coach. As for me, these days we don’t have just eleven first team regulars. Frankly speaking, thinks are often very intense at our training sessions as everyone wants to play. But anyway it’s up to the coach.
- What do you think of the red card Kryskiv got?
- I didn’t see that episode. But I know Kryskiv and I’m sure he didn’t do that on purpose. It’s just that no one wanted to lose. I’ve got a fat lip, but that’s fine. Fortunately no one suffered really bad injuries.
- How are Bilovar and Popov feeling?
- Kristian is doing fine, Denys has got a muscle injury. I don’t want to complain, but we really spend much time on the road which has its impact. It’s tough to play after such trips.
- Have you congratulated Oleksandr Karavayev on his goal?
- We were looking forward to his appearance as we know he’s the person you can always expect a goal from. He did his job today. Gratitude and respect from the whole team.
