Vitaliy Mykolenko: “We want to reach as far as possible at Euro-2020”

After the match fans picked him as MVP of the match. Later Vitaliy shared his impressions of the game:

- I tried to play securely. Individual awards are okay, but each player was doing his best. I guess we got tired and thus didn’t manage to grab the winner.

- How was the first national team training camp? You joined Ukraine practically right after the national Cup final. Have you had time for rest?

- I was substituted early in the game in the Cup final due to injury, so first days of the training camp were a bit simpler for me than for other guys.

- Does successful season in Dynamo impact players’ mentality and fitness?

- I wouldn’t compare Dynamo and national team. The season in the club lasts the whole year while Euro takes a short period of time.

- Does Shevchenko’s football differ from Lucescu’s a lot?

- Both coaches demand practically the same stuff. There’re certain peculiarities, but it’s not difficult to get accustomed.

- How did the team receive Popov and Liedniev?

- Andriy Shevchenko said we should have a singing night. It’s a tradition for newcomers. Anyway we’ll do it at the second training camp when other guys join the team.

- What can Ukraine achieve at the Euro-2020?

- I’m not the best tipster. We must aim to win every game, get out of the group and reach as far as possible.
