FC Dynamo Kyiv skipper Vitalii Buialskyi has commented upon the win against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (2:1).
- Congratulations. You started the gam quite actively. How were you feeling physically?
- In the first half we did what we planned and scored two. But then we conceded in a stoppage time. Those who play football know that when you concede early in the game or in the dying minutes, you lose confidence. That’s what actually happened.
But today it was important just to grab three points. This was the kind of game when you need to demonstrate team spirit.
- How did you decide who takes the penalty?
- Yarmolenko said I should take it. I’m grateful for letting me shoot this time. By the way, while the referee was checking VAR I was going to aim at the left corner, but then changed my mind. It’s going to be a lesson for me.
- You’re the leading UPL goalscorer of the team at the moment with three goals…
- In fact, strikers and wingers do a lot for goals. Striker brings in the opponent, and I operate in such a zone, where winger rolls the ball to me and I must use such chances.
- What was Oleksandr Shovkovskyi’s game plan for the second half?
- Basically he didn’t tell us change anything in terms of tactics. He just said we should maintain possession in defensive line so that their attacking group had to run and get tired. But the opponent analyzed us properly, so things were tough.
- Now you’re to join the national team. How’re you feeling?
- I feel positive as we won today. I hope everyone will get back from the national team camp uninjured.
