On Monday, July 21, UEFA held the draw for the third qualifying round of the Champions League, which determined Dynamo Kyiv’s potential opponents depending on the outcome of their tie against Maltese side Hamrun Spartans.
If Dynamo Kyiv defeat Hamrun Spartans, they will face the winner of the tie between Pafos (Cyprus) and Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel) in the next round.
First leg is scheduled for August 5-6, with return leg on August 12.
If Dynamo Kyiv fail to overcome Hamrun Spartans, they will drop into the third qualifying round of the Europa League, where they will face the loser of the Pafos (Cyprus) / Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel) tie.
Those Europa League third-round matches will take place on August 7 (first leg) and August 14 (second leg).
