On Saturday, September 14, FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Zoria Luhansk in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 6 game. Although technically it was away match for our team it was played at the Valerii Lobanovskyi Stadium.
Dynamo gradually took the ball under control, but despite a number of potentially dangerous opportunities couldn’t score for quite a while.
One should mention decent chances of Yarmolenko and Buialskyi, long-range attempt by Vivcharenko and shot by Tymchyk that went over the bar. Zoria responded with a counterattack as Antiukh appeared in a very promising situation, but Bushchan parried his strike.
Then Yarmolenko was close to opening the score again but hit the post while Vivcharenko missed with a follow-up.
After the break Dynamo rushed forward making opponents commit mistakes. For instance, Zoria defender almost netted an own goal, but the ball hit the crossbar. Defenders blocked the strikes by Vanat and Yarmolenko. Goalkeeper coped with the shot from Pikhalionok.
Eventually Kyivans succeeded as Buialskyi hit the target after fast attack down the left side and low cross from Vivcharenko. Our team kept pushing and Braharu hit the far corner from inside the penalty area – 2:0.
Zoria could pull one back, but Bushchan saved after their counterattack and shot by Ndour.
So, it’s 2:0 for Dynamo.
