FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Veres Rivne in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 5 postponed game.
Kyivans took the game under control straight away, but visitors defended orderly. There were certain mistakes like the one when Veres goalkeeper cleared the ball towards Vanat, but Vladyslav didn’t manage to punish him for that.
Rivne side tried to use every opportunity to counterattack although didn’t quite create any danger.
Dynamo opened the score in the 40th minute. Vanat won a free kick, Brazhko hit past the wall, goalkeeper parried, but Yarmolenko was the first one with a follow-up – 1:0.
The game didn’t change a lot after the break, but visitors got a bit more active. Dakhnovskyi had a chance to upset the White-Blues after rushing down the left side, but Bushchan parried.
Dynamo created quite enough opportunities to increase the lead. Kabayev sent the ball over the bar while Syrota attempted with a header, but keeper coped with that and with a follow-up from Popov.
Eventually Oleksandr Shovkovskyi’s men closed the game in the 80th minute. Voloshyn rushed into the penalty area, passed to Ponomarenko, Matvii eluded the defender and scored – 2:0. This was his debut goal in the Premier League!
Then, in the 84th minute, Ponomarenko sent Voloshyn one-on-one with the keeper with an accurate pass, Nazar passed to Shepelev and Volodymyr hit the open goal – 3:0.
So, Dynamo succeed and maintain the four-point gap between themselves and Shakhtar.
