FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Chornomorets Odesa away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 29 game.
The White-Blues came to Odesa clearly knowing that in case of success they would become unreachable for Oleksandria and would win the title.
Oleksandr Shovkovskyi’s men demonstrated their motivation right away. Vanat left the ball for Buialskyi, who attempted from inside the box. Rudko parried and then coped with the follow-up by Yarmolenko.
One should note that home side tried to attack as well. Mustafayev unleashed a shot from inside the penalty area, but Mykhailenko blocked the strike.
Dynamo scored in the 18th minute. Yarmolenko netted the ball after throw-in. However, upon checking with VAR, referee disallowed this goal as Andrii handled the ball.
Visitors tried a lot of combination, but made a lot of mistakes even in simple situations. Odesa side counted on shots from distance. After the attempt by Khoblenko the ball hit Popov and landed on the net. But anyway the first half was goalless.
As the game continued, Dynamo opened the score in the 54th minute. Vivcharenko crossed from the left side, Buialskyi found Yarmolenko and the ball hit Siheyev’s hand after Andrii’s strike – penalty. Yarmolenko converted from the spot perfectly – 0:1.
Shaparenko had a decent chance to increase the lead as he shot from distance, but the ball went a bit wide. Meanwhile one of Chornomorets attacks turned out to be a success. Robakidze crossed from the right side and Khoblenko headed the ball in – 1:1.
Considering their position in the league table, Odesa side couldn’t be satisfied with a draw as it wouldn’t let them secure their UPL spot. However they didn’t manage to create much.
So, it’s a draw which only means they Dynamo win their 17th Ukrainian Premier League title!
