Viktor Shvetsov from Odesa will take charge of this Wednesday night Ukrainian Cup final clash between Shaktar and Dynamo to take place in Kharkiv. He will be accompanied by assistant referees Oleh Pluzhnyk and Vitaliy Ponomatyov, with Andriy Shandor the fourth official. The latter officiated two out four previous finals between the archrivals.
Born in 1969, Shvetsov took up refereeing aged 22 to be promoted to top division in the year of 2005. The referee oversaw two league games this season as Dynamo snapped a 2-1 away win over Zorya Luhansk and were sensationally beaten by currently third-placed Metalist 0-1 on home soil.
