FC Dynamo Kyiv skipper Serhiy Sydorchuk has told about signing the new contract with the club and preparations for the season.
- They say captain can’t leave his ship. Could you imagine yourself in different club after nine years in Dynamo?
- I didn’t think this way. I just signed new contract as Dynamo are my native club, my home.
- Eleven trophies in 9 years. Is it just a start?
- I hope new achievements will come.
- How do players feel after the training camp?
- In terms of friendlies, emotions are mixed. As you remember, we did much better at the winter training camp. Maybe it’s all about complicated logistics issues. We had to move a lot. Anyway, it’s easier to work if you succeed in friendlies. So now we’re a bit nervous, but that’s natural before the Champions League. As for our fitness, I think we’re ready.
- Did the warm meeting with people in Poland lift your spirits?
- It’s always great to be greeted this way. Everyone knows what kind of relationships Ukraine and Poland have these days and how Poles help us. The meeting was very nice and even unexpected.
I want to emphasize that they greeted us warmly in Poland as we played a friendly against Legia and international match in Lodz too.
- Tomasz Kedziora has rejoined Dynamo. Is that another demonstration of nations’ brotherhood?
- Sure, Dynamo are his club and he’s proved that.
- Who will Dynamo be playing for against Fenerbahce?
- We play for the whole Ukraine, Ukrainian fans and guys defending our country. We think of them every time we take the field.
