Selected quotations
“I realized I wouldn’t play a lot at first. The prior aim was to secure my place on the players’ list, then – to make substitute appearances. I just hoped they wouldn’t loan me out straight away”.
“I was lucky in a way: some got injured, suspended or loaned out. In some cases, there was no one beside me, who could play in this position”.
“I wouldn’t join the new team if I felt I couldn’t make it. Why would I take someone’s place if he’s better than me? I came here to win trophies”.
