- I think two previous seasons have demonstrated what Dynamo players are capable of. They did their best on the field. Winning two titles ahead of time is worth much.
- Still matches against Shakhtar were failures for Dynamo…
- In the first round we lost as we let Shakhtar have about 20 fast attacks. We lost possession and didn’t run back. The same happened in the second round fixture. Shakhtar used our mistakes. I guess that’s all about lack of motivation. That’s a bitter defeat, but I think performers have deserved our respect considering how they played throughout the season. I can’t deprive them of two days off because of one defeat.
- They say after the game Ihor Surkis stated that Dynamo won’t get any bonus for victory in the league…
- Whom did he tell that? How do you know that? I’m sure he was quite emotional, but he has already calmed down. Dynamo have qualified for the Champions League group stage. No one knows what happens after Euro-2016, but our title and next Champions League campaign will give players strength to work on.
- It seems none of Dynamo players has become much better comparing with the previous season…
- What do you mean saying “much better”? I think Yarmolenko has improved his play. The same can be said about Khacheridi, Dragovic, Vida, Sydorchuk, Rybalka and other performers! We’ve won the league twice in a row. How do you compare these seasons?
- Is the lack of fast player a problem for Dynamo attack?
- Of course it is. Every team needs speed. Last season we had Lens, but unfortunately he left. We’re still trying to replace him. Derlis had good games this season, like against Maccabi and Porto. It’s difficult for him to get used to Ukrainian league, but we hope he will.
- Considering media information foreign clubs want to sign half of Dynamo lineup.
- We know that. Anyway I’ve discussed that with Dynamo president. We haven’t got any transfer offers so far.
- Are Dynamo laterals skillful enough to demonstrate football you want?
- It’s all about competition. Unfortunately Silva and Antunes almost didn’t have it this season. Yevhen Makarenko has had a serious surgery. I talk to him a lot and I hope he’ll step back into ranks. The same can be said about Moroziuk.
- What can you say about the conflict between Stepanenko and Yarmolenko?
- Maybe Andriy did something wrong, but I’ll always defend my players. I think we must thank Yarmolenko for what he’s done for our team.
