A few days are left before the White-Blues return to training after winter vacation. Midfielder Ruslan Rotan told www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua about his holidays and commented on the transfer rumors.
www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua: How did you celebrate New Year?
Ruslan Rotan: As usual, with my family. It is a good tradition established in our family and I do not want to break it.
www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua: To get back to soccer. How would rate your performance in the year of 2007?
Ruslan Rotan: I am not the right person to make assessments. Anyway, the results the team showed say it all. Looking into the future, I can say all I have to do is to work conscientiously to make success come.
www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua: Have you been missing football?
Ruslan Rotan: Sure. In football, not playing for a few days makes you want to run, kick the ball. So I am looking forward to be back from vacation.
www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua: You have been vastly rumored to join Dnipro…
Ruslan Rotan: I have read some news about that. I have discussed the issue neither with Dynamo nor Dnipro management.
www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua: Dynamo Director General Rezo Chokhonelidze keeps saying there should be 70 % of Ukrainians and 30 % of foreigners in the lineup. Do you subscribe to the idea?
Ruslan Rotan: Absolutely. If non-Ukrainian players can outperform home-grown ones, they should not be benched. Otherwise, it makes more football sense to opt to play our players and let them draw experience.
